About

Why the Porsche Logo?

The Porsche logo also bears the name of the town, Stuttgart, which is home of Porsche. It also happens that my great-great-great-great-grandfather emigrated from Stuttgart to the United States. So I sort of consider Porsche to be part of my heritage and my namesake, and I hope to own one or at least drive one someday. My current vehicle is a Subaru, which has the same boxer-style engine design, so I suppose I'm part-way there.

Family History

A brief history of my fore-fathers with their birthplaces starting with the first immigrant from the Fatherland to the present:

I gathered this information from the Mormon's excellent Family History Library in Salt Lake City, while I was living briefly in Utah. Much of the great sleuthing was done by my grandfather-in-law, Robert "Bob" Vandegrift of Vandegrift Reasearch. Bob is an expert at tracing family lines for personal or legal purposes.
